What cosmetic skin analysis means
In beauty apps, skin analysis usually means reading visible traits from a photo, such as apparent tone, undertone, skin type cues, and surface concerns, to suggest makeup and shade directions.
It is not the same as a dermatologist visit. Glowmi is built for cosmetic guidance only and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
What Glowmi looks for
From a bare-face selfie, Glowmi estimates characteristics that matter for makeup decisions: how deep your skin appears, whether undertones lean cool, warm, or neutral, and other visible cues that help personalize shade suggestions.
Those results feed your color palette and make try-on and feedback more relevant to you, instead of one-size-fits-all looks.
Tips for a better selfie
Use even, natural light when you can. Avoid heavy filters, strong shadows, and heavy makeup on the analysis photo so the model can read your actual skin appearance.
Face the camera directly with a neutral expression. A clear, well-lit photo usually produces more useful cosmetic guidance than a stylish but dark or heavily edited shot.
